Patrick Watson (co-author/director) is one of Canada's broadcasting treasures. His television and documentary productions have ranged from writing and directing The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau to his best-known Canadian series This Hour Has Seven Days. In 1964 he became the first North American producer to film in The People's Republic of China.
Patrick is a past chairman of the CBC, and has received numerous honorary degrees and international television awards. He has also been named Companion of the Order of Canada.
